Common FAQs
-
The Dr. Cabral Detox is a comprehensive detoxification program that allows your body 7, 14 or 21 days to reset and remove harmful toxins from your body.
It’s an incredible way to jumpstart your healing journey and create lasting wellness!
When you're trying to get well and stay well, it requires more than just a quick fix—it’s about resetting your habits. This detox helps eliminate years of built-up toxins at the cellular level, preparing your body for deeper healing and significantly improve how you feel.
By cleaning up your diet, fasting, and introducing supplements that I recommend for long-term optimal health, you'll not only reset your body but also your mind.
-
Toxins are one of the root causes of nearly all dis-ease. When you flush them out, every cell and organ in your body can function better, leading to improvements in symptoms like:
Bloating
Dry skin
Brain fog
Hormonal imbalances
Sustained weight loss
Mood swings
Deeper sleep
Reduced anxiety
More energy
Sharper thinking
Improved digestion
Restored nutrient levels
Clearer skin
Overall better mood
You’re likely to notice significant changes by the end of the detox, though results may vary depending on your toxic load, diet, and lifestyle. Either way, this detox will help give you a HUGE boost, motivating you to continue making positive changes for sustained health.

Yes, you can follow the instructions for days 3-7 for the entire detox. However, fasting days offer significant benefits, and skipping them may affect the overall outcome of your detox experience.

For optimal results, it's best to skip the coffee/caffeine. BUT if you prefer to continue drinking coffee, I recommend sticking to 6oz of black coffee in the morning.
*Please note going cold turkey can lead to withdrawal symptoms, so it's best to gradually reduce your coffee consumption the week before the detox starts.

During the detox you can drink:

I do not recommend exercising on the fasting days.
You can exercise on the meal days but don't overdo it.
Walking and gentle exercise is best but listen to your body.
The goal of the detox is to give your body time to rest and rejuvenate.

This may indicate weak digestion. Try consuming your shake over 60-90 minutes to help relieve bloating symptoms.
-
You may experience some discomfort during the detox process, known as a Herxheimer reaction. This occurs when your body releases stored toxins and works to process and eliminate them. Common symptoms can include headaches, fatigue, and nausea, especially if you've changed your routine by cutting out processed foods, caffeine, and alcohol. These symptoms can be similar to withdrawal and are most prevalent during the first two days of the detox.
Typically, these feelings should subside by the end of Day 3. However, if you experience a severe headache or if it lasts beyond the first two days, please discontinue the detox or switch to the Day 3 meal plan.
-
You may experience decreased bowel movements during the first 2 fasting days. This is normal because you are not consuming whole foods.
Bowel movements should return to normal on days 3-7.
